The statement also says that after the SSJ-100 stopped on the runway, the flight attendants saw smoke outside and reported this to the aircraft commander, who decided to evacuate passengers and crew members. It is clarified that jet fuel spilled from the deformed tank ignited, but the airliner itself did not burn.
Azimuth said that the evacuation was carried out through the front right door under the control of the crew. None of the passengers were injured.
“The ship’s commander and crew were the last to leave the plane. Passengers’ carry-on luggage and baggage were not damaged and were subsequently released to passengers. The airline delivered passengers who were delayed at the airport to their destinations,” the airline added.
Previously in “Rostec” tied up SSJ-100 incidents involving human or external factors. The state corporation noted that in terms of reliability they are not inferior to airliners of a similar class of foreign production.
