Peskov: the situation in the Kursk region will be normalized, it is close to resolution

The situation with the invasion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) into the Kursk region is close to a denouement. This was stated by the press secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, as quoted by TASS.

According to the Kremlin representative, the situation in the region will definitely be normalized. At the same time, Peskov did not give an assessment of the military situation in the Kursk region and did not specify what time frames were being discussed. “Time will tell us how [близка развязка]”, he said.

A day earlier it became knownthat a military “movement” has begun in the Kursk direction; very stubborn fighting is taking place in the region. Military blogger Yuri Podolyaka expressed himself in these terms.

Fighting with Ukrainian formations in the region has been going on for four months – since August 6. It was reportedthat the Russian military managed to liberate about half of the territory of the Kursk region occupied by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
