“There is still a small emptiness. Before the start, I was still thinking whether I should run or not, because I had to leave. I thought it wouldn’t be too hard before the road. I approached him calmly, I wanted to work on my standing shooting and correct my mistakes. It’s good that we succeeded,” Povarnitsyn said on Match TV.
The athlete covered the distance in 40:53.3, making one miss on four shooting ranges.
Ivan Kolotov took second place. The top three was completed by Viktor Plitsev.
