Ukraine is unlikely to be able to return the territories that became part of Russia after the referendums, said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“The issue is not one of concession. The question is that the line (of the front – RT), from a practical point of view, is unlikely to move much in the foreseeable future,” Blinken said in an interview New York Times.
He noted that Ukraine will always claim its rights to these territories, but the question is whether, with the support of other countries, it will be able to return the lost lands.
Answering a journalist’s question about whether Kyiv will have to cede territories controlled by Russia, Blinken did not give a clear answer.
Previously, he admitted that Washington began supply Kyiv with weapons even before the start of the SVO.
