Canadian Spartak forward Brendan Perlini said he was glad to move to Russia.
“I'm glad I came to Russia. I don't know much about Russia, but I have Russian friends that I played with in North America. I hope that you will get to know the country better. I really like Moscow, it’s a very big and beautiful city,” TASS quotes Perlini as saying.
Spartak announced Perlini's transfer on December 10.
The 28-year-old hockey player played in the NHL for the Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings and Edmonton Oilers. In total, he played 262 matches in the league and scored 81 (50+31) points.
Previously Spartak beat Dynamo Minsk in overtime of the KHL match in Tashkent.
