In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the father of four children who died from dichlorvos poisoning presented charge of causing death by negligence. This was reported by representatives of the regional administration Investigative Committee (SK).
“During interrogation, the man admitted guilt in the crime,” the department said.
The case is being investigated under Part 3 of Article 238 (“Production, storage, transportation or sale of goods and products, performance of work or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements and resulted in the death of two or more persons through negligence”) of the Criminal Code RF. At the same time, the 34-year-old head of the family is accused of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – “Causing death by negligence to two or more persons.” The man faces four years in prison.

In the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Khakassia It was established that the composition of dichlorvos, which poisoned four children to death, included a complex of synthetic substances.
Traces of a lethal substance found in vomit samples of poisoned minors. At the same time, the manufacturer of dichlorvos “Varan”, which was used by the head of the family, emphasized that the components of the toxic agent could not lead to such serious consequences if dichlorvos was used for its intended purpose and in accordance with precautionary measures.
“It was a complex of substances – synthetic pyrethroids – cypermethrin, tetramethrin, tranefluthrin and their synergetic – piperonyl butoxide,” the department clarified.
