American chess player Hans Niemann reacted to the fact that the International Chess Federation (FIDE) allowed to wear jeans at the World Blitz Championship.
“I’m disappointed that one person was allowed to mock the tournament and then had to kneel in front of him. FIDE bears responsibility,” Niemann wrote on social networks.
Let us remind you that Carlsen was disqualified in the ninth round of the World Rapid Championship. The 16th world champion violated the dress code. The reason for the Norwegian's exclusion from the competition was the jeans he was wearing.
FIDE later issued a statement in which it gave permission to wear jeans as long as they are combined with a jacket.
Previously Volodar Murzin commented scandal involving Carlsen.
