President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in an opinion piece for the Izvestia newspaper on the eve of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Astana, said that relations between the countries serve as a model of strong and unbreakable friendship.
“Our strategic partnership and alliance are based on close historical and cultural ties, as well as shared responsibility for the future of the two peoples. Our countries, despite unprecedented global challenges, set an example of good neighborliness and multifaceted cooperation,” emphasized head of Kazakhstan.
He added that such cooperation is based on common interests, mutual respect, and constructive political dialogue at a high level.
In addition, Tokayev noted that he maintains regular contacts with Putin, which are distinguished by frankness, efficiency and mutual respect.
Earlier, the Kremlin reported that the Kazakhstanskaya Pravda newspaper had Putin’s article published “Russia – Kazakhstan: a union demanded by life and facing the future.”
In it, the Russian leader stated that cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan is truly allied in nature.
