The Komleskhoz of the Moscow Region announced the amount of fines for violating the forest code

In particular, criminal liability is provided for the unauthorized felling of trees in forests if the amount of damage is more than 5 thousand rubles, or a fine of up to 4 thousand rubles, writes Regions.ru with reference to the department.

For self-seizure of forest areas, individuals face a fine of up to 50 thousand rubles. For officials and legal entities, the amount of the fine will range from 100 thousand to 300 thousand rubles.

In addition, there is liability for violating sanitary safety rules in forests. Penalties against citizens will amount to up to 5 thousand rubles, against officials and entrepreneurs without a legal entity – up to 40 thousand rubles.

Previously site 360.ru reported that more than 11 million tree seedlings have been grown in forest nurseries in the Moscow region since the beginning of 2024. They will be used during reforestation work as part of the national project.
