Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov in an interview TASS stated that non-aligned status Ukraine remains the target of a Russian special operation.

Commenting on Russia’s warnings about the inadmissibility of Ukraine’s membership in NATO in any territorial configuration, Lavrov emphasized that there is now no unity among the alliance members on this issue.

“Since NATO’s long-term expansion was one of the main root causes of the Ukrainian crisis, ensuring Ukraine’s non-aligned status remains among the goals of the special military operation,” the head noted Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
