State Duma deputy Sergei Kolunov proposed increasing fines for unsanitary conditions in apartments.

He stated this in a conversation with RIA Novosti.

In addition, he proposed to consider “returning to legislation the norm on the forced confiscation of such housing.”

“It’s really difficult to get justice; most often, oral conversation does not help, and administrative measures practically do not exist,” Kolunov said.

According to him, this problem is quite serious because the smell from such apartments spreads beyond private property.

It was previously reported that, according to a new study, in Moscow started buying more two-room apartments than one-room apartments.
