Russian fighter Umar Nurmagomedov spoke about the upcoming fight with UFC bantamweight champion Georgian Merab Dvalishvili.
“I’m not saying I’m going to go into the cage and 100% crush him. But he knows that he will beat other guys, but it will be difficult to do it with me. He wants to remain champion for a long time. With me he will have to go into deep waters, it will be a long night,” Umar told ESPN.
He also added that he will not allow him to score takedowns or control himself on the ground.
“Yes, he can beat me. It could happen. But this will not break me – I will remain the same Umar,” he noted.
Let us remind you that the athletes will fight at the UFC 311 tournament in Los Angeles (USA) on January 18.
Nurmagomedov has 18 victories and not a single defeat. The Georgian has 18 wins in 22 fights.
Previously reportedthat Dvalishvili plans to fight Nurmagomedov, O'Malley and Yan in 2025.
