A businessman from the Moscow region said in a conversation with the publication that he plans to spend half the amount on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for the North Military District. As the online publication notes, the man made a corresponding promise.

Meanwhile, the case of a resident of the Moscow region is still pending Moscow City Court. After the loss, BMW filed an appeal and is trying to overturn the court’s decision.

The reason for the dispute between the Russian and BMW was a fan defect

A Russian businessman purchased a fully equipped BMW X7 in 2021. He paid 11 million rubles for the car. Options included blowing the backrests of the front seats. Thanks to this feature, driving in hot weather should have become more comfortable. However, during operation, the Russian discovered a defect: the airflow almost did not work; instead, the faulty air conditioner scraped along the casing and made unpleasant sounds.

Owner of a luxury crossover appealed to court to try to recover money from the German concern and force it to replace the car. The court ordered the company to pay a penalty until the car was replaced.

BMW, which left the Russian market after the start of the SVO, initially ignored the court order. As a result, to date the amount of the penalty has increased to 300 million rubles. The fines amounted to 6.5 million rubles per month.

At the same time, according to Mash, in a conversation with a Moscow region businessman in the courtroom, representatives of the German automaker behaved rudely, called him names and called the independent examination nonsense. The judge had to make a remark several times about the inadmissibility of rudeness. The company claims that there is no defect in the car.

BMW and Lexus confiscated from Russians were handed over to SVO fighters
