The Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet believes that Vladimir Zelensky has put Ukraine in an even more difficult situation by stopping the transit of Russian gas to Europe.
The publication noted that stopping gas transit will lead to financial losses for Ukraine.
“The country will lose $1 billion a year in transit fees, which will be a serious blow to the war-torn economy,” it says publications.
It is noted that Kyiv has increased tariffs for gas transportation within the country four times in order to partially compensate for losses.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Slovakia, Matus Shutai-Eshtok, said that Ukraine, having stopped the transit of gas through its territory, forgot about the help she received from Slovakia.
